I am doing a research on the iconography of the Sforzas and would be very grateful to know your references for "Ippolita Maria Sforza (left) as St. Lucia next to her sister-in-law Bona of Savoy (centre) as St. Catherine of Alexandria and her sister Elisabetta Maria (right) as St. Magdalene,1480s". DeleteLudovico Sforza said il Moro is not the son of Galeazzo, he is the second son of Francesco Sforza and Bianca Maria Visconti.

ReplyDeleteI come from Milan and many things you say appears to be odd (say, Bona of Savoia was not the wife of Ludovico il Moro, in fact she was married with Galeazzo Sforza, brother of Ludovico). Can you help me sorting this out?
